Orbitan Technologies was founded in 2012 as a creative outlet for experimental technology and innovation. Since then, we've developed a wide range of ambitious projects — from robotics platforms like PySapien and ORA, to home automation systems like Orban.
Our work often starts with a need and a cause. We develop solutions to current issues in the Technological space, such as lack of innovation, preservation of obsolete ideas and the fear of moving forward, redefining the industry. Companies will stick with what is safe instead of what is practical or objectively best.

Orbitan explores new ideas and modular systems. What good is a device or some software if you can't get it to do what you want? We think outside of the box, and develop new methods.

Anyone who wants to purchase software should be able to write extensions to modify the behavior of the program to fit their needs. Our objective is to become a tech giant, much the same as Samsung or LG, while allowing people to do what they want with their systems.
Orban has received wide praise among testers, as the system allows home automation in places that it couldn't otherwise function. All of our contenders use internet based systems, or require complex setup. The plugin system also allows for the system to be reprogrammed to behave in ways that extend past voice commands. This has helped create RV and off-grid systems, Power management such as battery back-ups, generators and solar management, Weather dependent 3 part HVAC systems with old attic-fan style cooling, heat and air, etc... The possibilities are literally endless, and Orban never stops working. It was made to survive economic/societal collapse, loss of internet and zero day scenarios. An Orban system will work with your home for hundreds of years, whereas our competitors could fade away and leave your house dead in the water.

People have written articles on our PySapien Project. you can click here to read a linkedin article by Richard Ott on the project. We had no idea that PySapien would inspire others to create their own projects, but we're all for it. That's exactly what we want to do. Create hardware and software that peolpe can become invested in while learning about technology. This is exactly what we set out to do. Create an intelligent and innovative future by making people think outside the box. If we follow tradition, we will never realize the full potential of humanity. If you wonder why we don't have a smaller carbon footprint and flying cars yet it's that tradition often wins over innovation... And flying cars is a terrible idea.
Orbitan Technologies is driven by a promise: to help build the world of tomorrow — a world where robots assist with everyday tasks, where systems run independently of the cloud, and where ARM-powered computing leads in accessibility and efficiency.
Along the way, we've seen how innovation can be slowed by outdated systems, misplaced priorities, and fear of change. But we believe progress shouldn't be dictated by convention.
We believe in technology that empowers people — not just with convenience, but with independence, sustainability, and clarity.
If you're ready to question the norm and build something smarter, you're in the right place.
You are our tomorrow.
